When flying to Faro, you’ll arrive at Faro Algarve Airport (FAO), which is located 2 miles from the city centre.
Train
Comboios de Portugal is the only carrier operating train routes to Faro. The train journey from Faro to Lisbon takes 2h 52m and costs around RM 54 for a one-way ticket. When coming by train from Porto, expect to pay about RM 98 for a 5h 43m trip. Located 5 miles from the city centre, Faro Parque Das Cidades is the busiest station in Faro. Another popular train station is Estação Ferroviária de Faro, located 0.5 miles from the centre.
Bus
Several bus lines operate bus routes to Faro, including FlixBus, ALSA and Bus. From Lisbon, the bus ride to Faro takes 190 miles and will cost you around RM 40. From Porto, the ticket costs about RM 94 for a journey of 450 miles. The most popular bus station is Faro Faro Bus Station, located 0.4 miles from the city centre of Faro. Faro Av. Prof. Dr. Adelino Da Palma Carlos, 13C is also a commonly used station, and is 0.7 miles from the city centre.
