Pros:No!!! I had to wait outside at SLC airport for over an hour & froze my butt off! I went inside to warm up & missed the shuttle.
Cons:Everything could have been better!!! After all the waiting in line, FOX cancelled my car rental!!! I had to scramble to find another rental agency, go back to the airport/find another car/& wait in line all over again. Horrible!!!

Cons:Upon arrival we were charged nearly twice the price for an automatic transmission cat. The car we received had significant mechanical issues, the brakes failed when we were going down a mountain and the engine overheated and shut off going up a mountain road. Overall the experience was horrible and I would never book a rental car with Avis in Funchal or the online booking service we used

Pros:The car was great and had no issues
Cons:I hired the car expecting to pay the quoted price on the website. Instead when I arrived to Avis with my itinerary in hand for the week ahead I was charged double by hidden fees for my being 23years old. Not a word was mentioned about by the website nor the staff until the keys were being handed to me and asked to sign the paper work. At that moment in time it’s too late to go through another rental agency or cancel plans so I had to bite the bullet. Please read all fine print and ask questions before you book.

Pros:The convenience and service I received at the time of pick-up and drop-off. Easy and seamless.
Cons:I have never rented from Avis before but I have rented a car with other companies prior to this experience. I expected the Avis employee to walk with me to the vehicle and inspect the vehicle prior to me leaving with the vehicle. That did not happen. I was handed the keys and told I was all set. I walked to the car and noticed that it was dirty inside, leftover papers in the trunk and wrappers in the back door. About half way through my 750 mile commute I received a maintenance required notification on the dashboard for the rear seatbelts. I didn’t use the rear seat belts at all during my trip. The notification continued to prompt every time I would start the car. Just didn’t make me feel safe that all services/recalls weren’t serviced prior to letting a customer take the vehicle as a rental, especially with my lengthy trip.
