Get to your gates early, to make sure you are understanding what is being said sometimes the translations are not clear. Not their faults I’m in their country, I should learn more Thai :)

I still think Airasia is the best to go with out of all budget airlines for sure.
HartoFlew with Thai AirwaysCGK-BKKSept 2024
I'd take Singapore airlines for better comfort and larger luggage allowance
JaniqueFlew with Thai Lion AirKBV-DMKMar 2024
If you have more than 10 kg of luggage , buy the extra fees online because you will be charged three times more at the airport
JoshuaFlew with Bangkok AirwaysHKT-BKKMar 2024
insist that the person checking you in checks you in all the way though. Do not leave until you have all your boarding passes
GavinFlew with Thai AirwaysBKK-UBPApr 2024
Not as cheap as they used to be. I try and fly Thai Smile always as they seem to be the best.
GordonFlew with Bangkok AirwaysBKK-USMApr 2024
Try to put all your stuff in your checked luggage and take a light carry on.
StevenFlew with Thai AirAsiaCNX-DMKApr 2024
I would not book with AirAsia as they have no customer support. Something that is very important for air travel sometimes.
Verified travelerFlew with Philippines AirAsiaMNL-DMKJan 2024
If you fly with budget airline make sure you chack your bag if there is any extra weight or buy extra weight online during check-in cause at the airport is triple also if you think you will eat on the plane buy your food online you will save a bit and you will have option to choose your meal
Verified travelerFlew with Thai Vietjet AirHKT-CNXJan 2024
Look for food/ water in the airport as none is available on the plane unless you have made specific arrangements with the airline.
Verified travelerFlew with Jetstar AsiaSIN-BKKJan 2024
Considering budget airlines, air Asia, vietjet and firefly are so much more better.
FraserFlew with FireflyPEN-DMKJan 2024
I would consider paying a slight premium for to fly with firefly.
SheriFlew with Thai AirAsiaDPS-DMKJan 2024
I would have liked to know that I couldn't get even a drink on a 4+ hour flight. It was international so I expected at least minimal services. A meal would have been reasonable.

They used the ATR 72-500 for the route and I love it.

Delayed 7 hours plus. Given $15 worth of meal at Subway but it was actually we can only choose 1 set meal instead of $15 of anything. The staff at subway weren’t happy to serve huge group of us. No detailed explanation given by the airline and we just have to keep looking for information at the departure tv screen.

Was all very easy, from buying the ticket online to walking stratup to the check-in desk, helpful and friendly checkin staff, punctual take off, good standard of aircraft, luggage was waiting by the time I had cleared immigration. Thumbs up all round.

No frills, basic flight in a puddle jumper. I wasn’t expecting refreshments nor entertainment. Everything was efficient, and everyone was pleasant.

The only problem was that I bought ticket on a third party app but I have to pay extra luggage cost, because of in their system different from my bought ticket. Every other was perfect

I don’t like the sour face of the check in staff at Penang international airport, front desk service provider should be more friendly n smiles always 😊

It was delayed for more than 1 hour due to LIMA when many planes landed & took-off at the same time. It could ve been better if the pilot or crew informed us every few minutes so that we know what’s going on.

Everything was good. The red seats were a scam. Just like any other seat but red. Although they let you board earlier which was very nice.

Other than the bus wait time to off board passenger when we reached Don Muang, everything else was excellent

Very good, it would be good if payment for drinks could be accepted by card too.

Ontime, no frills, the cabin is clean, the ticket price is lower than the full-service airlines.

Paid for a meal we didn't receive. They admitted they had forgetten ours. No compensation or rectification offered. We requested if they would just give us a glass of wine instead and we would call it even. Crew advised they could not do this and to go to Air Asia counter on arrival and request a refund. Our flight didn't arrive until 2am so this was not a viable option. The crews solution was if we wanted a wine we should purchase one. I was unhappy with that suggestion considering they had already ripped us off with our meal.

Took 4 flights in 5 days 3 out of 4 left late about one hour each.

The boarding process was very poor - refueling on so rear ladder blocked. I think while boarding both ladders should be accessible so that passengers are comfortable instead of crowding through front ladder

No WiFi or movies. And the seat We’re uncomfortable. Good thing it was a short flight

It was on time! First time in a long time for Air Asia. Thank you!

Nightmare at check in because of restrictibe and unmanageable baggage rules. Very long line and slow because of these policies. Not a smart way to make $

Vast improvement needed in customer service. I couldn’t get the drink of my choice during both meals (i.e. sparking water and Diet Coke). I had used plastic cups falling onto me from the tray. No eye contact when they thank you on the way out signalling an insincere thank you.

Jia yung was the flight attendant that made this a miserable flight.

The flight isn’t great, as the plane has faulty with light and noise. It blinks and make noise for 8hrs non stop! Causing health and sensory issues! Causing Hazard matter to all 3 babies that on bassinet seats. This matters affected 12 passengers and the most horrible flight I ever experience. Have been flying with MAS for more 30yrs and this is the worst! Very disappointed

AC not working, just slowly blowing room temperature air. Long taxi time does not help as well. Sweating all over the whole trip.

Did not take as cancelled 3 time so took another airline

It was a 2-hour flight so they didn't have much time for serving food. There was some turbulence so they could not serve hot coffee or tea for the safety reason. Good service, good tasting food, nice plane, a little bit of delay.

The IFE is quite unconvenient if using our own device. Not all passenger brought their own earphone/headphone.

Ok, but legspace on MH0127 from Kul to Per was too small. It was not possible to tilt my seat which I don't understand because the seat in front of my could do it. So I didn't rest on the flight. Also, the crew was probably understaffed because it took very long time to take trash after the meal. Everything very different from the flight with Malaysian Airlines from London to KL.

Service / food has to be much better. Staff were not very attentive to requests. Requested for a second serve of coke and got a weird look back from the host! Was also told they don’t have extra water bottles when I requested for one before sleep! Dinner time food was very minimum and average.

An overnight Doha to KL. Great sleep, good service and tasty food in business class

I specifically searched for flight with checkin bags. Airfare assist website still sold tickets without check in bags and I had to pay 3 times more for my bad. Worst experience ever with untrained staff and haphazard boarding

As a frequent flyer, I was impressed with the smooth take off.

No frills means no frills... I just got on the plane and flew. That's all. Nothing more and nothing less. Or I did buy some water, they took cash only! LOL

First the flight delayed 1 hour ND then when we suppose to landing the pilot decided not to land at the chiang Mai Airport but the chiang rai airport

Pros: "This is a budget airline and they get you to where you going at good price"
Cons: "They pack you in all together even though there are open seats available and leave you there as if you've done something wrong"
Cons: "fraud on the baggge fee. Had already tried to pay on web sire, but tmdid not work. Then they charge more than twice the price at airport."

Need to improve the availability of the food. Seems like everything sold out

Did not like that we were not informed about the 4 hour delay, crew not friendly, noone at terminals to consult with...all employees for Batrik were behind glass aftervgoing through security at the gate again. Why no agent at Gate H 10 to answer questions? And no apology. Updates would have eased anxiety. Boarding is disorderly also.

During this flight all the crew just focused on making money by selling food and drinks. There was only one washroom open. And it really smelled bad and wasn’t usable. Even to watch something onboard entertainment u have to rent headphones pathetic airline but only one with direct flight so pretty much the only option from Karachi to KL

Delayed for 3 hours, need to pay extra for drinking water.

The OD2204 KUL-LGK was delayed 40 minutes due to air-condition malfuntion, after inspection the technician give green light for the flight to go as usual but the air-condition is still not working properly, passengers complaining to the stewardess but they cannot do anything, I did tweet to @malindoair to complaint but no reply from them … hope this Batik Air is not having problem like Rayani Air and I do hope the management do respond to my complaint as well

Nasi lemak was horrible. Plain white rice, tasteless sambal, no cucumber, no kacang, no ikan bilis. And the chicken was colourless and tasteless, tasted like boiled chicken. Entertainment system didn't work at all.

2 delayed flights - hotel layover in a different country- lost baggage.

Silly to not even offer people water for free when they are paying so much for tickets.

You get what you pay for. It’s functional and gets you from point A to B in good comfort. However, food options are limited and cash only, Crew is a hit and miss .. they get your attention if you reach out.

Good leg room ... air conditioning was a bit warm don't Book row 8 ... no windows
