The hotel is pretty well located, the concierge Duke is great and the staff in general are pretty awesome. But the elevators get very crowded and it takes a while to get to the to floors, the rooms are not very sound proof, so if there is a party at the rooftop bar you are going to hear it and everything happening on the rooms next to you, we also had an issue a couple of nights with someone smoking weed on another room and the smell traveling to ours. In general if you are a light sleeper this hotel is not for you.

Pros:The location is excellent. Very easy to tour around NY from the hotel, and find some eats. We had a Skyline-view room whose size was perfect for us (a couple). The shower has a semi-transparent glass that looks into the room, I believe there are some blinds to cover it up if you need some privacy but this wasn't an issue for us. There's a nice lounging sofa next to the skyline-view window. The interior is very modern and comfortable. At my request, the staff prepared a nice surprise for me and fiancee, it was all perfect.
Cons:The price is still a bit high per night. I guess this is to be expected given the location. For some reason, staff came to check on our room a few times to see if we needed anything (towels, etc.) not at my request. The first time was fine, but we already said we didn't need anything, so the subsequent times they came to my room was a bit annoying. While I appreciate the care, we also wanted to relax in our room without being pestered.
