In February, the Carnival season sees the country's largest parade festival of the year, with each region represented by its own traditional costumes. During the carnival, parades are held in all the major cities. The Dominican Republic Jazz Festival takes place in November, with concerts held in rotating venues in the main cities. One of the most delicious annual events is the Mango Festival in June, which showcases more than 100 varieties of the fruit produced in the country. The festival is held in the town of Bani where you could book a stay at Casa Gloria.
